VFC is Processed

We can’t tell you how pleased we are to see you, Susan. Our cluckwit diversity has long been shockingly skewed towards men. It’s not that we have been deliberately excluding women, it’s just that they tend not to say stupid things out loud but here you are bucking that trend, and we are very grateful for it.

So, to answer your allegation: there is no probably about it. If we just packaged up VFC’s raw ingredients, it would look a bit like muesli, and you’d have a hell of a time getting it to stay put in a bun. Of course, if the meat companies sent you the raw ingredients for fried chicken, you’d struggle to keep a live bird in a bap, too, and you’d also be picking feathers out of your teeth for weeks.

So, we are not alone in processing food. Sausages, bacon, hot dogs, ham, burgers, salami, pepperoni, jerky and fried chicken are all processed, and here’s the kicker: all processed meats cause cancer. Processed plants don’t, though. They’re good to eat. So, even without the animal suffering part, we know which we prefer.

And while we at VFC HQ are partial to some deep-fried plant magic, we understand that not everyone wants to eat processed foods, and we respect that. Those purists wouldn’t dream of touching bread, breakfast cereals, pasta, cheese, tinned anything, frozen anything, baked anything, or dried anything. Tea, coffee, beer, wine and tap water are all out too. So, although, we are happy to eat some processed foods, we know that you are no hypocrite and we we respect your decision to eat only raw meat and uncooked vegetables, while sucking the dew off the early morning grass.
